New Glen Mhor Photograph 1970s and Timeline update

 

This wonderful image, kindly provided by the Diageo Archives, is one that I've never seen before. 

Taken sometime in the 1970s, it is likely that this comes from 1972 onwards, when DCL took over the site, which would reflect the other images within the archive. The cask itself was distilled in 1936 and this brings up some questions that I've debated within the photograph section.

We will be uploading more images this week from the Diageo Archive. The team have confirmed they don't have that much material for Glen Mhor, but are working remotely due to COVID-19, which may, I hope, limit their access to what else is in the Archive. Time will tell, and if there isn't much more, then potentially, this may suggest that materials reside elsewhere - and the search continues.
